7 Tips to Lose Weight Effortlessly

Everybody knows how difficult it can be to lose a few pounds. I’m going to give you some great simple tips that I have used myself to lose weight successfully with minimal effort.

Tip #1: Drink Cold Water

Yes I know it sounds weird but this is the first thing you can do. Your body will work to stay warm and thus, burn calories. Remember that if you are dehydrated, your body will compensate by retaining any excess water as a protective measure, resulting in more weight.

Tip #2: Make a Habit of Walking

5 Years ago I applied for a new job that required me to walk 20 minutes morning and night. I wasn’t much of a walker but doing so rapidly made me realize the benefits. Just walk outside a few minutes every day. Some people, like me, tend to lose weight rapidly by just walking. See if it’s your case!

Tip #3: Gain Muscle

Muscles are the body fat burning furnace. Gain muscle and you will burn more fat. Even if you don’t do much, it doesn’t matter. You will be surprised how these few push-ups a day will help in the long run!

Tip #4: Eat More in the Morning and Less in the Evening

You should spread your meals throughout the day but your biggest meals should be taken at breakfast and lunch while you should opt for a light dinner at night. You will maximise your metabolism and actually burn more calories.

Tip #5: Eat Slowly

Try to eat slowly since it takes about 20 minutes for our brain to register satiety. A growing number of studies confirm that you will consume fewer calories just by eating slowly.

Tip #6: The Meal Replacement Bar Sacrifice

Once in a while I substitute a meal with a replacement bar. Just 1 to 3 times a week can significantly reduce your calorie intake.

Tip #7: Get Better Sleep

Sleep loss may interfere with the body’s ability to metabolize carbohydrates, which leads to high levels of blood sugar. The overproduction of insulin can lead to the storage of body fat. Does your old mattress need to be replaced?

Losing weight starts with reducing your calorie intake and increasing exercise. Balance things like you would with a budget but in the reverse way. If you have too much income you need to spend accordingly to create a deficit. You will see the results over time.
